Guatemalan “Finca Ceylan” Coffee

As our family’s ongoing commitment to sustainable farming we’ve chosen one of the worlds most sustainably accredited coffee farms Guatemalan “Finca Ceylan” coffee. The pick of the crop. Grown at high altitude forests (1000-1350m) with distinct climatic conditions gifts us with sweet, full bodied brown sugar flavours.

Sustainable farming

Guatemalan “Finca Ceylan” coffee ticks your moral compass. The estate has existed since 1870’s and is run by the Echeverria family, it’s Bird Friendly – Smithsonian Institution for Sustainability and Conservation, Rain Forest Alliance, UTZ Kapeh and NASSA Organic certified.

Finca Ceylan is based on sustainability and encourages local flora and fauna to co-exist with the coffee plantations. Finca Ceylan provides support for its employees such as access to medical care and education as well as improving living standards for the families.  The climate is fairly mild with average temperatures of 20C.

What does it taste like?

So, you’re probably thinking – What does it taste like? or I don’t have an espresso machine, so will it be OK in a plunger or stove top? Don’t worry the answer is YES to all your questions. Our family has almost four decades of roasting expertise and ensures all our single origins and blends are roasted to highlight the unique character and flavour of each coffee.  “We roast coffee so it tastes like coffee!

Versatility

And I’m sure you’re now excited and are expecting our Guatemalan “Finca Ceylan” coffeee to have the “WOW” factor. Guess what? There’s caramel, honey and gentle chocolate flavours “WOW”! This coffee is quite versatile and can be enjoyed as a cappuccino, latte’, flat-white or piccolo. Going a double shot amplifies the rich flavour. Having it on it’s own short or long no problem, there’s plenty going in the cup you’ll be surprised. Our brother Theo has it as flat white, while Maria has it in a filter with a dash of cold milk. I love it as a piccolo and espresso.  An excellent coffee from a renown producer. (Read more on our Provenance Indian single origin or our Organic Colombian coffee).

A must try great allrounder coffee suitable in plunger, filter & espresso makers.
