Mocha Barista Training

Learn how to improve your Barista skills with Mocha Coffees Barista Training course. Our program “Introduction to Espresso” is designed for beginners and experienced people and is run at our training facility in Marrickville. The program has been designed by Paul Mannassis who is the Chief Coffee Judge for The Sydney Royal Fine Food Show. The show is part of the prestigious New South Wales Royal Agricultural Society. Paul has 34 years of hands on coffee industry experience.

Introduction to Espresso

Our Barista training centre in Marrickville is equipped with sophisticated espresso machines and grinders. These are available to all participants. The course covers both theory and practical learning. So, we ensure you’ll make every coffee on todays menu. And you’ll make them again and again, until you get them right. The practical aspect of our Barista training covers all the variables associated with preparing espresso. You’ll follow time-honoured practices and learn why, when and how to adjust your equipment.

Each participant has access to hands-on training on commercial espresso machines and grinders. Class sizes are limited to 4 per session so you get comprehensive individual attention. We believe that a professional Barista should instinctively know all aspects of making espresso. Just like when a mum cooks, it doesn’t matter what season or day, she’ll always make it right! So, that’s what we focus on, you getting it right, every time! We teach you to make perfect coffee manually. And only when you’ve got the knack you can use the luxury of automation.

Introduction to Espresso is a one day 6 hour course and covers the following:
