Family Expertise

Our Indian raw coffee beans come from the renown Ratnagiri Estate situated in the majestic South Indian Western Ghats region near Bababudangiri. This mountainous area is where it is said the first coffee was planted in India by Bababudan – a pilgrim from Yemen. The estate spreads over 117 hectares and was first purchased by Shivappalya Patre in 1927. Since then, three generations of the Patre family have dedicated their lives in pursuing their passion of growing India’s finest quality raw coffee beans. And that they have “we love it”. An excellent well balance coffee with choc malt flavours and medium acidity.
