Ethiopian natural green beans are renown for their rich fruity aromas and lively zesty flavour. Haro Lebetu specialty micro-lot is from the Guji region, a unique area that produces coffees with more intense complexity. It’s one of our family’s favourite Ethiopian coffees. We have 4 decades of sourcing, roasting and blending coffee expertise and absolutely love Ethiopian natural green beans from Guji. Their intense fruity characteristics bring so much to the cup or even in a blend. They’re rich, aromatic and very complex.
Our Haro Lebetu specialty micro-lot is naturally sun dried on raised perforated beds. This drying process is done with the whole c0ffee cherry intact and allow to ferment/dry for around two weeks. Naturally processed coffees are more complex and sweeter than washed coffees due to the longer contact the fruit has with the coffee bean. The cherries are constantly raked and turned over to ensure even drying hence, a better quality coffee. This method is very costly and labour intensive but the results in the cup are well worth it.
