Limu – Washed

Ethiopian green coffee beans are renown for their rich fruit-like aroma and lively zesty flavour. Our family has 4 decades of sourcing, roasting and blending coffees. We enjoy this washed Gr.2 Limu for it’s overall rounder flavour and completeness. It’s packed with zest and a wine-like flavour and a tannin textured finish. Excellent for filter and plunger, and livens up espresso blends.  A must try for enthusiastic home coffee roasters.

Ethiopian Green Coffee Beans

Limu is situated in South West Ethiopia and is traditionally known for producing well balanced washed coffees with good acidity and body. The washed process tends to highlight the acidity within the coffee. The coffee beans are soaked in water filled fermentation tanks which allows the coffee to ferment to a desired level and removal of the muscillage ‘cherry pulp’.
