Guatemalan
Guatemala has such a great variety of good quality coffee on offer that we have decided to alternate between Coban, Huehuetenango, Acatenango, Los Volcanes genuine Antigua coffees. Their flavour characteristics are very similar displaying lovely butterscotch wine-like tannins and sweet acidity. Your tongue sticks to your upper gum absorbing the irresistible sweet toffee flavours.
Only Genuine Antigua grown coffee make the cut for Mocha Coffees Guatemalan repertoire. The Antigua valley and surrounding volcanoes such as the majestic twin peak Acatenango volcano provide excellent conditions for growing such exotic flavoured coffees. The Antigua valley is protected from the northern winds and provides a mild climate with an average temperature of 22 degrees, an annual rainfall of 1,200 - 1,500mm and distinct wet and dry seasons allows for a very consistent crop year in year out.
